But when they need help, they rely on family to fill the gap. As they live longer, and are not interested in long-term institutionalized care, our society must find new solutions. We need new solutions for both the care of our aging population but also for their employed family members who step up to help out. Moving from Crisis to Confidence

Life cycle changes are a natural part of life for individuals, the family unit, and institutions. Specifically, societal expectations must change to anticipate and implement plans based on the life and care cycles of families. All so we can continue to work. Most critically, employers and institutions must do the same. The idea that family are caregivers at the caregiver’s expense is antiquated and unsustainable.  Our nation must be reeducated!
