Through CareWise Solutions Inc., Jeannette highlights the impacts of the American Employment Caregiver Crisis. This is a shift in the focus of caregiving towards business and institutional involvement – and away from the traditional individual family focus. It is occurring because at least 30% of today’s workforce are employee caregivers, and the healthcare-oriented family care system fails to meet the multifaceted needs of today’s employee-caregivers and their families. This is well over 43M employee-caregivers and their families.
This emerging strategic caregiving shift – which Jeannette refers to as the 3rd Wave of Caregiving – removes excessive conflicts of work and care for a working generation looking to Care About and Not for Family.
The CareWise Solutions Inc. 3rd Wave strategy sees the home emerging, along with the workplace, as the epicenter of learning, wellness, care, and healthcare – built on Government and private sector leadership.
Jeannette introduces and builds on several themes that focus on improving the human caregiver experience and build “longevity-of-care” solutions. These achieve many outcomes, including support for employee-caregiver job of choice retention and assistance for employers to build and sustain a viable workforce to reach its engagement and productivity goals. This is achieved as employee-caregivers are enabled by a seamless, national caregiver system with shared values, policies, labor, insurance, healthcare, community services and public health operations… all operating in a coordinated ecosystem of care.
The collective opportunity is to move from the current work and family care crisis – to confidence of care with shared satisfaction for a more natural way of living and caring.
She walks the talk and brings the new thinking and new solutions needed to really make a difference for employers, employee-caregivers, caregivers, caregiving families – and those they care for.
