CAREWISE SOLUTIONS – BELIEFS FOR ORGANIZATIONS

Take a stand. Make a commitment to your employees.

The caregiving crisis in America touches almost everyone. Almost half of Americans are already providing care or support for a friend or family member. Eighty percent of those caregivers are working, too.

Our society accepts that the caregiving crisis exists. Unfortunately, the problem is still viewed as a personal or family problem by employers and the healthcare industry. When a patient is unable to perform the activities of daily living, family is expected to step forward and fill the gap. A large part of the crisis is that people are confused. The first step is to identify the issues as an institutional problem, not a personal problem.

We are all experiencing biggest shifts in the way we live and work in 100 years. The way to success is for all of us to invest in our education and make a difference in our families, workplaces and communities.

We ask you to review this list of concepts to see if you agree they are moving in the right direction.

Our organization believes that our team members are valuable individuals.

Our goal is to provide resources and support for each person to achieve success in their careers and balance in their lives.

In addition to supporting individual employees, we as a corporation have a major job to do to create an environment that supports work and care and reduces stress cause by these crises.

We believe every employee has:

  • The Freedom to Address Family Care Commitments
  • The Recognition of Uniqueness
  • The Right to an Advocate
  • The Right to Simplified Access
  • The Opportunity to Normalize and Measure Performance

Care-Related Beliefs are a corporate statement providing front-line team leaders with a new point of view that solves the right problem and provides solutions.  There are big issues to solve, but we will achieve collective success with clear aspirations and aligned resources.

As the Founder of CareWise Solutions, I have experienced all of the burdens and losses of the caregiving system that tried to take the quality of life and care from my family unit and my work contributions from my employer.

I questioned, how could this employment and family care condition exist in our nation?”

Preserving employment is a national crisis and opportunity. Loaning employees to an undefined “caregiving” job without skills is an unsustainable economic, business, and human approach. The underground care economy must be reduced – Including the use of illegal and trafficked labor. The growing 69 million caregivers’ economic value can be redirected to create new job opportunities as many industries restructure, calling for reskilling.

$470 Billion in economic value of “informal caregiving “exceeds the value of Walmart – an impact on the majority of our labor market.  This petition reinvention process asks for you to actively engage all employers in changing the rules of this unsuccessful, seemingly uncaring system.

This statement of corporate beliefs can be followed with solutions that reinforce this aspiration and engage every associate in every business.

We recommend that every signee create a Caring Place in their business for all employees to step away from their work to care – accessing the amalgamated resources that are available.
